Guy Kawasaki – A Wealth of Knowledge

post Image

Guy Kawasaki is a best selling author, entrepreneur, and public speaker.   He was an original employee at Apple before founding other successful technology ventures.  In addition to his corporate tenure, he has been a prolific public speaker and writer.  From how to improve your online profile, maximize your reach or negotiate a deal, he has invaluable advice.

In his latest book, Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds, and Actions, Kawasaki encourages entrepreneurs to tell a great story.  He also urges entrepreneurs and startups to “plant many seeds” when it comes to getting the word out about new products. According to Kawasaki,  “This advice may eschew traditional marketing philosophy, but with the media world now inverted, entrepreneurs never know which outlets will make the difference in building critical mass for a product.”  He also stands firm in his belief that in business and personal interactions, when you “appeal to others’ goals and desires, by being likable and trustworthy, and by framing a cause that others can embrace, you can change hearts, minds, and actions.”

In addition to Enchantment, the two other books on my reading list are:

The Art of the Start: The Time Tested, Battle-Hardened Guide for Anyone Starting Anything
