Sunday Brunch is the New Friday Night Out

What better time to get together with great friends than Sunday morning?  Sharing delicious food, interesting conversation and cocktails beats a crowded restaurant. Don’t over think the menu: Mickey Mouse-shaped waffles, fruit, eggs, and candied bacon (see below) is more than sufficient.  Possibly indulgent…


But be advised, if you’re not careful, bloody mary’s and mimosas can quickly turn Brunch into “Linner.”

Candied Bacon

1 lb. thick sliced bacon

¼ cup brown sugar

1 tbsp. Dijon mustard

2 tbsp. apple juice

–         Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

–         Lay out strips of bacon evenly.

–         Bake at 350 degrees for 20 – 30 mins and drain off excess fat.

–         In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, mustard and apple juice

–         Brush the partially cooked bacon with the sugar mixture.

–         Return to the oven and continue baking for 20 mins until glazed.


And enjoy a deliciously relaxing Sunday with friends!
