Travel Uniform

post Image

I travel a ton—in fact, right now I’m prepping my suitcase for a fairly impromptu seven-day trip to China, of all places. Packing for the destinations and all the different events can be a little challenging, to say the least (see my 10-Piece Suitcase Guide for tips on packing light, even with kids), but one of the biggest wardrobe conundrums of all is dressing for the airport – especially an overseas trip.

First and foremost, you want to look chic, put together while keeping comfortable.  It is possible to do all three! You never know who you’ll run into or where your adventure will take you.  And you have to uphold your standards.  This is fashion after all. Over the years, I’ve run into old friends, colleagues, celebrities and potential business partners while trolling through the airport. You really never know.

My go-to travel uniform for Fall:

  • Dark skinny jeans (Paige Premium Denim are my absolute favs – they feel like leggings.)
  • L/S fine-gauge knit tee (Choose fabrics that really breathe—your skin will thank you. For me, that is exclusively Majestic Tees.)
  • Cozy sweater (It won’t wrinkle, so you’ll look on-point when you step off a long flight.)
  • Light weight scarf in a bright color or graphic print (This doubles as a blanket if my plane is chilly
  • Chic flats or slip-on boots (Forget laces, zippers and buckles—hello security line!)

Time to jet set again.  Can’t wait to tell you about China.  I hope I have everything !
